The Merrimon-Wynne House is a beautiful historic venue in Raleigh, and it was the perfect setting for this stunning wedding. The couple chose a blush and gold color scheme, which created and elegant and romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the venue's classic charm. From the gorgeous stationery and signage to the personalised place tags, every detail of the wedding was carefully thought out and beautifully executed by La Cosa Bella Events. The place tags, in particular, were a unique and playful touch- each goes had their caricature drawn on their tag, which added a fun and personalised element to the reception. The flower girls were especially adorable, and wore their floral wreaths as they made their way down the aisle, while carrying some 'Here comes the bride' signs, which added a very cute touch to the ceremony. As guests arrived at the venue, they were greeted with a beautiful space, indoors and out, decorated with stunning floral arrangements. The ceremony took place in the garden, which was a perfect backdrop to exchange their vows. Following the ceremony, guests were treated to a beautiful reception that had amazing food, great music, and plenty of laughter and joy. The tables were adorned with stunning floral arrangements, gorgeous menu cards with calligraphy and gold accents, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere that encouraged guests to relax and dance the night away. It was a truly beautiful and unforgettable even, from the stunning decor to the personal touches that I'm sure the guests continue to enjoy to this day, it was a celebration of love and happiness that will be cherished by everyone for years to come. As a designer, it is always wonderful to see your creations come to life in a wedding. Recently, we had the pleasure of working on a black time wedding at The Angus Barn in Raleigh, that was truly spectacular. One of the standout features was the glass calligraphy sign that we used for the seating chart (You'll see that stunning photo below, thanks to Ginny Corbett Photography). This unique sign added a modern touch to the overall decor and was an absolutely beautiful way to guide all the family and friends to their tables. Now, the invitation suite. The gold calligraphy on the invitation itself is a bold and beautiful statement. The crest that Theresa created for the couple adds a touch of sophisticated luxury that the couple will be able to use for all the years to come, but the blush undertones soften the overall look. It is a classic and timeless design that perfectly sets the stage for a black tie affair. And of course, we cannot forget about the flowers. With deep reds and gold accents on the napkins with the menus, the floral arrangements tied everything together. Whether they are adorning the ceremony, or displayed on the tables and the fireplace, the flowers are a crucial element in creating a romantic and sophisticated atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. It was a joy to work closely with this couple and the remarkable team to bring this special day to life. It was an honor to find this wedding featured in Heart of North Carolina Weddings Magazine Blog! You can go take a look here. It is always a pleasure to create something special and unique for a couple's big day, even more so when it is a fusion Hindu and Christian wedding, celebrating both of their cultures. All of the designs we put together for this wonderful couple were elegant and contemporary. The wedding was held at The Carolina Inn with The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, as the perfect backdrop for the couple. We then incorporated reds and golds into the many details, and a clear tent for the outdoor ceremony so the couple could get married under the stars, making the night ever more magical. To anyone planning an Indian wedding, I would encourage you to embrace your heritage and incorporate elements of your culture into your wedding invitations and overall wedding. Whether it's through traditional color schemes, choice of locations, and traditional motifs and food, there are so many ways to make your wedding unique and personal to you. If you would like some help, feel free to reach out. We can make your dream a reality. As the wedding invitation designer, I know that each couple's wedding is unique and special in its own way. I was incredibly excited for this Irish wedding, I knew I was in for a treat. Irish weddings are steeped in tradition and history and is a perfect blend of elegance, beauty, and ruggedness. This family's history had settled into the county of Cork, and brought those elements into their wedding with the family crest and beautiful greens that we incorporated into the programs and signage. When it comes to wedding details, nothing says elegance quite like green velvet. The luxurious fabric has long been associated with Irish royalty and added a touch of regal sophistication to the wedding day. The bridesmaids wore a soft blush that really accentuated the color palette. By incorporating all these elements, they created a celebration that is both traditional and unique that will be memorable for all their guests in the years to come. The wedding invitations, menus, programs and signage all set the tone for the big day. Venue: Barclay Villa

So when I was approached to design the invitations for a blue-themed wedding shoot, I jumped at the opportunity. The shoot was held at a beautiful venue. The color scheme was centered around different shades of blue, ranging from pale to dusty blues, with accents of gold and ivory to add warmth and elegance to the overall look. The tablescape was adorned with peonies, roses, thistle and olive branches, with candles and the cutlery adding a touch of glamour. The stationery suite I designed for the shoot featured soft painted brushstrokes in shades of blue, paired with a delicate calligraphy font and floral accents for a luxurious touch. For the invitations, I opted for a dusty blue and white color scheme with a modern twist. The main invitation card featured a beautiful painted design of blue and white brushstrokes, with a matching envelope liner and gold foiled text for a touch of elegance. The suite also included an RSVP card and envelope, as well as a details card with information about the wedding venue and accommodations. One of my favorite elements of the shoot was the cake, which was a beautiful two-tiered confection featuring blue fondant with tissue accents. It was truly a work of art and perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of the shoot. The bride and groom were styled in classic and elegant attire, with the bride wearing a stunning gown, and the groom in a blue grey suit with a white shirt and blue tie. Overall, the shoot was a stunning display of how a blue-themed wedding can be elegant, sophisticated, and modern all at once. From the table settings to the stationery suite, every detail was carefully curated to bring the vision to life. If you're planning a blue-themed wedding and looking for inspiration, I hope this styled shoot has provided some ideas and inspiration for your big day. And if you're in need of custom wedding invitations, I'd be honored to work with you to bring your vision to life. Venue: The Upchurch

You guys got engaged. You set a date. Now it's time for one of the most important steps in your wedding journey. The Invitation. Don't know where to start? Want some helpful tips on whether you should choose traditional print invitations or electronics? We are here to help! The decision process is actually quite simple. I will ask a simple question regarding wedding invitations. Here it is: Which type of invitation would you be most excited about receiving? Option 1: Getting an Email InvitationLet's be honest. Wedding invitations sent through email is usually cheaper and can even be more convenient, especially when trying to chase down that cool aunt who never seems to RSVP to anything you send. Also, depending on what service you use, other people can see who is going and who has been invited. This of course is a double-edged sword...everyone will know that you didn't invite your weird cousin to your wedding. Sorry (not sorry) Jamie! Here is the problem with email invitations: 1. They are cheap. Everyone will know you didn't want to spend any money. 2. They do not exist in the physical world. There is nothing to hold. 3. Since they are in email, you are extremely limited in the designs and styles of the invitation. No cool ribbons, or bedazzlements or anything else that is fun to touch. Talk about boring! 4. Since everything is online, everyone can see who is invited, who doesn't want to come and who has RSVP'd. There is hardly any privacy when it comes to the net. This lack of privacy makes it much harder to make...better guest arrangements. Now, let's go to Option 2. Option 2: Getting an invitation in the mailSo, the mailman stops by and drops of the usual bills and junk. But wait! There is a fancy looking grey envelope. What is that? What ever could it be? You run to your mailbox and fish out the special envelope just like you did when trying to get the toy from the cereal box. Boom. Suspense. Drama. Action. Excitement. All from an envelope you haven't even opened yet. Amazing right? The reasons why Traditional Paper Invitations are awesome: 1. Style!! You can send almost anything you want. Some unusual shape, fabric, color, a giant box full of confetti. It doesn't matter. The options are endless! With the help of a great designer (cough we're pretty good ) you can send the perfect invitation that really shows off your own style and sets the tone for your wedding day. 2. Convenience. Yes, even using the mail can make things less frustrating. I don't know about you, but my family is afraid of technology. How would I be able to send an invitation to my Gran Gran if she hasn't touched anything but a calculator in 10 years? The good thing about having an address is that everyone has an address. If the IRS can find you, so can your wedding invitation. Comforting right? 3. Clear Intentions. You can say exactly who your card is for. "John and Guest", "Johnsons", "Johnny (and not his girlfriend)". If people share an email address or a Facebook account, the waters get murky and feelings could get hurt. An invitation in the mail keeps everything clear and simple! 4. Privacy. Besides a crazy person going through your mail every now and then, mail is relatively private. Your Uncle Tim in California won't know that Aunt Jude in Wyoming received an invitation. That is, until they talk about it. Since everything is not online for everyone to see, you can invite and not invite anyone you choose. This will help save face for any awkward or embarrassing situations that otherwise would have been created in an online invitation. 5. It's physical baby. We can touch, feel, smell, hold and keep our invitations on our refrigerator or in a box... forever if we want. I'm pretty sure Google will auto-delete emails after 30 days if you don't save them. Talk about sentimental. ![]() At the end of the day, it's your wedding and your decision. Just remember, it's extremely important to set the right tone you want for your wedding. It all comes down to what you are looking for. Looking for something fast, cheap and less personal? Send your invitation via email. Want Elegant? Classy? An event definitely worth remembering? Definitely send the printed invitation. The design process is fun and we are here to help! Let us know which one you choose. We would love to hear your story. |
